Now appearing in Kansas!

I have started a new chapter of my life and career in Hays, Kansas! I moved to the middle of Kansas in August 2018 to join the faculty in the Department of Biological Sciences at Fort Hays State University.

I am teaching Zoology, Zoology Lab, and Human Biology during the 2018 – 2019 academic year. It has been fun getting students involved in research. In Zoology, I had students studying animals, including white-tailed deer in the wild, mudskipper territorial behavior at the Sternberg Museum of Natural History, and rattlesnake morphology and feeding behavior.

In Human Biology, several groups researchers cancer, including this group who made an educational video on YouTube.

In Fall 2018 I was awarded an Undergraduate Research Experience Grant and am now working with six undergraduate and three high school Kansas Academy of Mathematics and Science (KAMS) students at the Sternberg Natural Trails.
